The Asset Store integration with Asset Manager displays all assets you purchased from the Asset Store with your Unity ID. In the left navigation bar, you can view the purchased assets in the My Store Assets section. You can choose which assets to add to any Asset Manager project in your organization.
Asset itemization
A key benefit of this integration is its ability to unpack and itemize all files in an asset pack as individual assets in Asset Manager, while preserving all their dependencies. Prefabs that rely on 3D models or materials will have their dependencies mapped in Asset Manager and accessible in the Unity Editor. Anyone in your organization with project access can use these files.
You can use the Asset Manager for Editor package to browse individual assets from the Unity Cloud and import them with their dependencies. This minimizes project bloat, and simplifies sharing and collaboration on asset packs.
How to add your purchased assets to Asset Manager
To add your purchased assets from Asset Store to Asset Manager, follow these steps:
- In the left navigation bar, select External libraries. All your purchased assets are displayed.
- Select the assets you want. A side panel appears on the right.
- On the top right corner, select Add to project. A dialog box opens.
- Choose the project or collection you want and select Add.
After you add assets to your project or collection, you can track the progress at the bottom right corner of the screen. This integration unpacks the asset, itemizes it, and tracks all dependencies between individual assets.
